About VB League

VB League is where recreational volleyball tournaments and leagues are found, entered and run. Players search every organizer’s events in one place and enter as a team or on their own. Organizers create an event, set its divisions and prices, choose how players pay, and open registration. Each organizer has their own site on VB League, at their own web address.

For players

The home page is the whole board: every upcoming tournament and league across every organizer, searchable by city, surface (beach, indoor, grass), format (2s, 4s, 6s), gender and skill level. An event’s page shows its dates, venue and address, courts, divisions with their price and open spots, the teams entered, the schedule, pool standings and the playoff bracket once it is played. You can enter with a team you captain, or as a free agent to be placed on one. Your entry, your roster and your games are on the My events tab, on the web and in the app.

For organizers

An organizer creates the event once and it appears on the board players already come to. Divisions, prices, capacity, free agents, waivers, the registration window, courts and locations are all set on the event. Players pay by card through Stripe, or, where the organizer allows it, by Venmo, Zelle or another method the organizer confirms. Rosters, waitlists, schedules, pools, brackets and scores are run from the web dashboard and the app. How it works and what it costs.

Where it works

VB League serves the United States and Canada. Volleyball is the first sport; the platform is built so other sports can be added without a rebuild.

How money works

Every price is the organizer’s. A card payment goes to the organizer through Stripe, and VB League takes a flat fee per transaction. A payment made outside VB League is a claim until the organizer confirms it. A team has no spot until its registration is confirmed; nothing reserves capacity before that. Refunds are the organizer’s decision and are made through Stripe.
